Application for a Fellowship at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI)

 

Thank you for your interest in applying for a fellowship at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI)!

The purpose of the fellowships offered by GEI is to provide both young and established academics, and textbook authors, with extensive access to the textbook collections in the Institute's library as well as the opportunity to take a comparative approach to their work and to consult and work closely with academic colleagues from Germany and abroad.

Use this application form to apply for either a GEI Fellowship or the Otto Bennemann Grant.

Applications for fellowships at the GEI are accepted each year beginning in June. Applications must be submitted by September 30 for the following year.

This form requests all the information necessary for selection. No additional documents need to be uploaded. Questions include personal information such as your name and address, institutional affiliation, preferred period of stay, project proposal and work plan, and if you need to apply for a visa. Please answer all questions completely and correctly!

We will only consider complete applications for fellowship selection.

Please note that for technical reasons, you will not receive an automatic confirmation of your submission. The Fellowship Team will contact you as soon as the selection process is completed by the end of December.

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) treats applications confidentially and will only store and process personal data of applicants to the extent necessary for the purpose of selecting candidates for the Fellowship of a given year and in accordance with German data protection law. The GEI will archive application documents for three years, unless instructed by an applicant to do otherwise; such documents will then be destroyed in line with German data protection regulations.
