Application for a Fellowship at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media

Thank you for your interest in applying for a fellowship at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI)!

The application process for fellowships and stipends at the GEI opens each year in June.

Applications must be received by 30 September for the following year.

This application form contains 17 questions concerning personal information (such as name and address information), your institutional affiliation, your preferred period of stay and your project as well as whether you need to apply for a visa.

Please ensure all questions are answered completely and correctly!

At the end of this questionnaire you will be asked to upload the following documents in one single PDF file:

  • CV and, if available, a list of a maximum of five publications;
  • a one- to three-page outline of the proposed research topic, describing its aims and methodology;
  • a specific list of the primary and/or secondary literature that you wish to study at the Institute;
  • a draft of your plan of work during your stay

We will only consider complete applications for fellowship selection.

After you have finished this survey, you will receive an email, confirming your submission.

The Fellowship Team will contact you as soon as the selection process is completed.

The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI) treats applications confidentially and will only store and process personal data of applicants to the extent necessary for the purpose of selecting candidates for the Fellowship of a given year and in accordance with German data protection law. The GEI will archive application documents for three years, unless
instructed by an applicant to do otherwise; such documents will then be destroyed in line with German data protection regulations.
