About the fellowship
The purpose of the fellowships offered by GEI is to provide both young and established academics, and textbook authors, with extensive access to the textbook collections in the Institute's library as well as the opportunity to take a comparative approach to their work and to consult and work closely with academic colleagues from Germany and abroad.
This fellowship program, funded by the Marga and Kurt Möllgaard Foundation, enables the Institute to support individual researchers from the Ukraine and neighboring countries in Central and Eastern Europe (post-Soviet states).
Use this application form to apply for a Möllgaard Fellowship.
Applications for fellowships at the GEI are usually accepted beginning in June each year. Applications for the following year must be submitted by September 30.
For the Möllgaard Fellowship, however, we accept applications year-round. However, if you are applying outside of the application period from June to September 30, please note that we may not be able to accommodate you in one of our guest apartments for your desired period of stay.
Applicants who submit their applications by September 30 will be notified of the selection decision at the end of December of the same year.

About the application form
This form requests all the information necessary for the selection process. No additional documents need to be uploaded. Questions include personal information, such as your name and address; institutional affiliation; preferred period of stay; project proposal; work plan; and whether you need to apply for a visa.
Please note that for technical reasons, you will not receive an automatic confirmation of your submission. The Fellowship Team will contact you as soon as the selection process is completed.
